Sa\u00fade da Escola B\u00e1sica e Secund\u00e1ria da Ponta do Sol, os alunos plantaram tremo\u00e7os, ap\u00f3s devida corre\u00e7\u00e3o do solo da horta horizontal, nos canteiros, raios de apara-l\u00e1pis, que t\u00eam vindo a ser recolhidos por alunos de 5\u00baano, n\u00e3o s\u00f3 para compostagem mas tamb\u00e9m para delimita\u00e7\u00e3o de canteiros, com v\u00e1rios tipos de plantas.<\/p><p>Os Tremo\u00e7os apresentam tr\u00eas vezes mais fibras do que cereais como a aveia e s\u00e3o ricos em prote\u00ednas e vitaminas.<\/p><p>Uma equipa de investigadores, avaliou o potencial do tremo\u00e7o como inibidor natural das inflama\u00e7\u00f5es do c\u00f3lon e do cancro do c\u00f3lon, tendo conclu\u00eddo que o tremo\u00e7o apresenta um potencial bioativo superior a outras leguminosas e que a sua atividade inibidora, ao contr\u00e1rio das outras, persiste mesmo ap\u00f3s a cozedura do tremo\u00e7o (1).<\/p><p>Foram tamb\u00e9m demonstrados em testes de laborat\u00f3rio, benef\u00edcios significativos do tremo\u00e7o na elimina\u00e7\u00e3o de radicais livres, respons\u00e1veis pelo envelhecimento das c\u00e9lulas.<\/p><p>(1)
